Trump Slams Russia Probe But Says Report Should Be Public

US President Donald Trump has been an outspoken critic of the Mueller probe

Mueller is "a man out of the blue" and "writing a report that never got a vote", Trump told journalists at the White House.

Speaking to the media ahead of a trip to OH, the president continued to lambaste the investigation into Russian intervention in the 2016 election - calling it "ridiculous" - but said he wants to see its findings nonetheless.

"I had the greatest electoral victory - one of them - in the history of our country, tremendous success, tens of millions of voters and now somebody's going to write a report who never got a vote", he said. "So explain that because my voters don't get it, and I don't get it", he said before repeating familiar knocks against the special counsel.

MSNBC's Katy Tur dismissed the weight placed on President Donald Trump's potential collusion with Russian Federation, saying it doesn't matter whether or not he was guilty of such coordination: Special Counsel Robert Mueller has "already come up with quite a bit" of incriminating information on him.

Comey went on to say that while he doesn't think Congress should not try to impeach the president, he hopes Trump is not impeached before the end of his term because supporters would see that as a "coup". "Let's see whether or not it's legit". White House officials are aware of the speculation that Mueller could file his report at any moment and are prepared for that possibility, but they have no special insight or inside information about when that will happen. Mueller has previously held several senior positions in the Justice Department, including FBI Director.

"I just won one of the greatest elections of all time in the history of this country". And I don't get it.

Trump has repeatedly branded the Mueller investigation an "illegal witch hunt" over the past two years and labeled his team of investigators politically biased.

"I have no idea whether the special counsel will conclude that Mr. Trump knowingly conspired with the Russians in connection with the 2016 election or that he obstructed justice with the required corrupt intent".

In an opinion piece for The New York Times released on Thursday, Comey wrote that what's at stake with the Mueller report is the "apolitical administration of justice".

"Let it come out, and let people see it", the president said.

Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former lawyer, recently testified before the House Oversight and Reform Committee, on Capitol Hill in Washington.

Trump taunted the special counsel, suggesting he is "look [ing] forward" to seeing what Mueller came up with, while also dismissively describing it as an illegitimate effort to undermine his presidency by unelected bureaucrats.
