Twitter Scorches AOC For Comment to Dan Crenshaw About Terrorism

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

"I think these are part of conversations we are having in our caucus, but I think what we're really seeing is the ascent of authoritarianism across the world", Ocasio-Cortez said.

Crenshaw had initially commented that Omar was the "First member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as 'some people who did something, '" which he called "unbelievable".

The tweet went viral and caught the eye of socialist congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez.

Nothing that the New York Post or Crenshaw said used "completely out-of-context quotes" from Omar, they quoted her directly.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who has been dubbed the Beyoncé of politics, could follow in the footsteps of Jeremy Corbyn after being invited to speak by festival organisers. While Crenshaw has not co-sponsored the bill that Ocasio-Cortez referenced, he has not yet announced how he will vote.

During the interview, Ocasio-Cortez pointed to negative health consequences as a reason to scale back on social platforms.

Ocasio-Cortez is facing criticism after telling Rep. Dan Crenshaw, who is also an Afghanistan war veteran, to "do something" about domestic terror.

"So here you go, you guys are breaking news".

In 2016, the Republican-controlled House and Senate passed a bill that allowed the victims of 9/11 to sue the Saudi Arabian government over the terrorist attacks.

"This puts me in danger every time", Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Ocasio-Cortez's voice then dropped to a whisper.

The 29-year-old, who is now too young to be eligible for the presidential office, remained demure when asked if she would one day make a run.

She has become the subject of endless Republican fascination - and vitriol - with a report issued Friday by the left-leaning Media Matters for America that found over the past six months, Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network talked about the congresswoman every single day, mentioning her at least 3,181 times.
